Statistics show that the number of people cancer kills globally each year is about 13 in every one hundred. The cure for cancer is still some way off but the science expects to happen possibly within the next few decades. At this time medical research continues to advance in its war with this disease that plagues humanity. Actually it is a disease that starts as a group of abnormal cells that continue to divide; they cross over to other cells and sites of the body continuing to grow and divide. Some benign tumors, however, are capable of becoming malignant. It causes more deaths per population than any other illness and the older you get the more prone you are to contracting the disease.
Cancerous cells may have been transformed by radiation or poison for example and this creates genetic abnormality in those cells which then continue to grow and divide.
The food you eat on a regular basis will have an effect on your health, particularly in the future. Some consider it may even be causing a large number of cases in certain groups of people. People are normally eating too much of the wrong things such as an excess salt intake, too much saturated fat and certain dairy produce.
Studies have shown that there is a connection between dairy produced calcium and prostrate cancer. Cancer is not gender specific; it does not have preferences as it will attack just about every part of the human body and organs. No one is safe. Sometimes the disease is only picked up through routine screening. Generally the cancer is at an early stage and a person may have a better chance of being cured. The number of different types of cancer that can be treated has increased considerably in recent years with so much intensive research being carried out.
Advancements in medical techniques mean that cancer in many cases can be treated and often completely cured; it is only a matter of time before a complete cure is discovered.
