Fitness after the age 50 is really a tough job. But it could be possible if a person follows particular fitness exercises in his daily life. The following are some exercises, which helps to keep fit body:

Warm up
This is a first phase of exercise. This simply helps to loosen up the muscles and helps to get some extra blood flowing to them. For strength training, a set of exercises with little or no weight is appropriate where perusing exercise at a slower rate at the beginning works well in aerobic exercise.

Aerobic exercise
This exercise increases the efficiency of getting oxygen to various muscle of a body. This is most important exercise because all of our muscles need oxygen. This will create the energy for body function. As more oxygen reaches muscles, the more efficiently body will work. Walking, jogging, running, swimming, dancing, biking, hiking, cross country skiing, roller blading, ice-skating etc. are some types of aerobic exercises.

Strength training
In this type of exercise person have to lift enough weight to strengthen the muscles. Exercises that target all of your major muscle groups are most important aspect of strength training. Twenty minutes is the standard time duration for strength training.
