Green tea helps in protecting heart arteries by maintaining them flexible and relaxed and this leads to constant blood pressure. High blood pressure sometimes leads to heart attack.

Person who drinks green tea showed greater dilation of their heart arteries, known by 30 min ultrasound and which is much lighter than those who drink hot water or diluted caffeine. Scientists says that, green tea works on inner layer of blood vessels by helping cells to produced the substances which are need to relax the vessels and helps in free flow of blood. In this, flavonoids works as antioxidants and helps in preventing irritation body tissues, which keep the vessels flexible.

Formation of blood colts are also prevented by these substances. Benefits of green tea are long lasting and increasing. If you have a habit of drinking tea, it is good idea to change to green tea.
