As the former mentioned things are permanent and also leave residues on the wall when trying to peel them, these removable decals attracted many of the people who often change their interior decorations. However, following perfect procedures is what makes the removing process effective and hence leaves no residues on walls. Following are the different methods used for removing wall decals from different surfaces.
When the decal is on the wall:
For the decals which are applied on the walls, the best procedure to remove is with the help of hair dryer or the blow dryer or any other heating source which provides gentle heat. Now use the heat source to gently heat the edges of the vinyl so that it gently lifts from the wall. Once the entire edge is completely lifted, either roll it back or peel it in the opposite direction. Repeat the same procedure for all the decals. While rolling or removing if the decals cuts in the middle, heat the decal at the area and start rolling or peeling from that area. Remember, vinyl is made of thin plastic, so exposing it to more heat melts it and makes it tougher to remove and also leaves residue on the walls. So take extra care while heating it.
When the decal is on metal or glass surface:
Many people also use wall decals on window glasses and on any other metals. In case of glasses heating the surface is not helpful as it harms the surface and makes it break. So, use the glass cleaner for removing. Spray the glass cleaner on the wall sticker and leave it for few minutes. After some time you can find bubbles on the edges of the decal. Remove the areas which are bubbled up. Once entire decal is peeled spray some more glass cleaner and wipe it off.
