Interactional language
Interactional language is used for defining or establishing the social relationships and it is the language used in group situations. For example, negotiations, encouragement, expressions come under this language.

Heuristic language
This language is used for exploring, investigation, research, to acquire knowledge and understanding, for figuring things, etc. Here, the inquiry is the important function. In general, it is to find out about the world.
Personal language
This language is used when a person talks about himself/herself i.e., it is used to express personality or individuality. Strong opinions and feelings are a part of it. This builds the self-esteem, establishes their own identities and builds confidence.
