By | July 15, 2008

Nowadays many home owners and businesses using the high powered pressure washers for different uses. Now I am using pressure washer for cleaning of oil stains on garage floors and the cleaning of aluminum siding in my Chicago apartment. Most of the commercial cleaning companies have been using pressure washers for years to professionally clean up big job sites and concrete and brickwork. Now the cost of a good quality pressure washer ranges from a little more than one hundred dollars to thousands dollars depending on the size and power of the washer. But most of the owners are not conscious of the proper cleaning and maintenance procedures to keep their washer working properly for many years. Here are some tips I suggest to maintain a pressure washer.

  • After every use you should be certain to flush the chemicals, cleaning solution or detergent from the intake, pipes and essentially entire power washer system. This flushing of the system will make sure the owner that the complete system is now clear of the cleaning solution used for that project. This will prevent erosion and rust to and metallic parts of the washer and should lengthen the life of the washer greatly.
  • Next you should immediately turn the pressure washer off to prevent the motor from durable any unneeded wear and tear.
  • If have the excess water in the pump might be dangerous to the entire washer system so always you purged the water properly to prevent this erosion.
  • After the water drained out you should disconnect all hoses from the unit and be sure to drain these hoses of any water or cleaning solution that may still exist.

So if you take the proper maintenance steps your  pressure washers gives the long durability.
